Evaluation

I think my project went really well although recieving the video took a while and therefore delayed my progress with completion of the project.

In my project I have provided lots of information for the user and promoted the video and police by providing links to websites.

If I were to do this project again I would do something where I could control the time it took to complete.

TOO BIG!!! and screen shots

The video is too big to upload on to the ingots site, therefore I am going to provide a link to the internet version:

http://www.mpa.gov.uk/issues/stop-search/dvd-medium.htm

or if your computer has a slower internet connection:

http://www.mpa.gov.uk/issues/stop-search/dvd-small.htm

or if your computer has a higher internet connection:

Powerpoint

I have attached my powerpoint presentation on Stop and Search.

If you can't access it from the link try:

Problem

I have just found out that this video is for the whole of the met police and therefore I cannot receive it for policy reasons.

It was lauched to the met on the 21st June 2008 but has not yet been issued nationally.

I shall attach the full video as soon as I receive it and have permission to show it.

In the meantime I have created a powerpoint showing a few sreenshots and information on stop and search.

Safety:
I was not personally filming, we had a camera man, a women for the voice over and those taking part present and we also had many police around therefore it was safer. Also the streets were deserted as it was early on a Saturday morning.

List of credits of those who contributed:
This is included at the end of the video.

Running the completed video from your BLOG through the INGOTs community site:
I cannot do this yet as I have not recieved the video from the police yet.

National Occupational Standards

I have attached a document which shows the National Occupational Standards that had to be followed when making the video and my blog.

Waiting... and where this video is going to be used

I am now waiting for the video to be posted to me from the camera man who filmed it for us. The video is nearly complete and so when I get it I just need to post it on my blog so that it can be viewed by others.

The video is going to be used in the training of new police officers and shown in school, to show them the views of young people and give information on stop and search.

Some of the video will have to be cut out and not be shown as there are privacy rules for training videos made for the metropolitan police.

The Actual Project.

We set up a camera on the background scene and one on the person interviewws that picked up the sound and movment. The video was going really well until it started raining! It took about 2 hours to shoot the video as it started raining half way through and we had to stop because the cameras were getting wet.
We had a police patrol car driving round to make the video more realistic and at the end of the movie the police to do a mock search on a group on young people.
